What is the reason for falling house prices despite reduction of interest rate?

Generally, average people thinks when interest rate is low there are demand for the houses and house prices will go up when interest rate come down. We all know it did not happen in the USA despite several interest rates cut. Instead, we see collapse of housing market and bottom of the housing market has not reached yet.

In some countries just started to reduce their interest rate and average people and some real estate brokers are forecasting houses prices to go up. I do not know how they are going expect higher housing prices when there are so many problems to adders such as inflation, collapse of lenders and borrowers, weak sentiments and. fundamentals, falling currency value and less disposable income etc.

Any other thoughts. Thanks.

Do you think Oil will go below $60 after the presidential election?

I think so.

If there is a demand and supply, theory how could have oil at $ 95 in January, at $150 in June and back to $100 in September. I think now it is going to go below $60.

Even OPEC and Top commodity oriented Banks cannot stop this commodity slump now.

Factors to consider

Commodity investors and index investors are are pulling out their futures holding now.
Even those who were bearish on the USA dollar suddenly have become bullish.
Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Do you think rebound in the stock market in the fourth quarter?

I think so. At least there will be temporary rebound in the stock market towards end of this year due to following reasons:

Higher US Dollar
Lower individual tax rates after presidential elections
Efforts for fixing ailing banks
Commodity prices have crashed and it will lower the raw material cost.
Prices of oil and gasoline are coming down
Oil will come down even below $70 a barrel at the end of this year and after presidential election.

Stocks to watch

Vanguard Small Cap VIPERs(VP)
Some food giants such as Sanderson Farms
Some alterative energy stocks (selected)

I think above sectors will outperform market in the fourth quarter and beyond.

Do you any other thoughts.
Thanks.
