Ginnie Mae 11 bonds

I recently bought a Ginnie Mae 11 bond (not fund) with a 6% coupon and 5.5 interest. Can you explain to me how these GM 11s work exactly? Will the monthly payment i get include both interest and principal. Will I ultimately get the entire face value back to me over several years? The market value has dropped since I bought it, should I be concerned? I did pay a premium for a higher interest rate.
