ETFs that employ options to enhance investor returns are supposed to have better performance. Is this true? If so, what are the symbols and sectors of the leading ETFs and their respective returns?

Since FDA decisions have great impact on stock prices, is there site for free information about FDA schedule?

Since FDA's decisions of the new drugs following their Phase II or III study has usually a great impact on respective stock and options prices, it is important knowing for free the FDA schedule.

Information is regularly published for forthcoming FDA final decisions.. Reuters, SmartMoney (both recently for avastin, for example), Morningstar (for other core drug - a few days ago) and so on regularly announce for the exact dates for forthcoming FDA final decisions for particular drugs. What is their source of information and is it possible to be used by the individual investors? Obviously it's not insider information.

EthanR earlier answered this same question „simply knowing when an FDA ruling may be taking place, doesn't tell you whether or not to go long or short on the stock.“ However, just the extreme volatility makes taking a long straddle or strangle position very attractive instead of his suggestion to take actions after decisions.

Since FDA's approval or disapproval of the new drugs of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies following their Phase II or III study has usually a great impact on respective stock prices and options, is there site for free information about FDA schedule?
