I've read at least 3 articles this week telling people to diversify out of U.S. equities and into international stocks. I've also seen a couple of questions on TickerHound related to international investing - a question about the Vietnam Index comes to mind. So, for all of you international investors out there: where should US investors look to put their money now and why?

Using discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis what would you pay for this company's stock?

Company XYZ does $100 million in sales and has a 30% net profit margin. The company earns 20% Return on Equity and is growing at an average of 20% per year. It's expected to do so for another 10 years and then drop to a growth rate of 5%.

Assuming the company is in a mature industry with well defined value chains, competitors, etc. and the company is a leader in its space, what is the fair value of the company? According to the "Margin of Safety" concept in Value Investing, how much SHOULD you pay for this company's stock?

Remember, everybody will have a different answer - we're looking for the one that could make the best case for their answer. So be ready to defend it!

Anyone want to collaborate on a shorting system?

This is a different type of question, hope its not outside the rules, Wayne. I am currently working on a short to intermediate term system for shorting stocks, and have been having a lot of success recently. Some of that may be due to the overall market going lower, but I think it's more because I have been honing my system for quite awhile. If anyone would like to collaborate on a low risk/high reward shorting system (hey, don't laugh, that is entirely possible), please contact me at fuss1@aol.com . I wish to keep it a stock shorting system, not for buying short ETF's or using options.
