Can anyone tell me if prices for credit default swaps on Nortel Networks have increased lately and by how much? Also, if anyone has more information on the risk of Nortel's bankruptcy in 2009, I'd appreciate knowing. Cheers.

Danish, Dutch and Swiss RMBS Exposure

I'm looking to identify companies in Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland that have significant exposure to the residential mortgage backed security (RMBS) market. I figure these will be banks and mortgage companies. Pretty obvious are ING in the etherlands and UBS and Credite Suisse in Switzerland, but I'm not sure of their respective exposures to RMBS. I'm not at all familiear with Danish banks. Any assistance with this would be appreciated.

About Pattern Recognition software

Can anyone recommend any software that is particularly reliable in identifying technical patterns in stock charts? for any such recommendation, would you mind letting me know how that software identifies the pattern (e.g., does it just highlight the pattern on the chart or does it also provide any descriptive text about what has been identified).

Positioning for CDS debacle

If a CDS (credit default swap) devaluation debacle is inevitable, how can the individual investor position her/himself so as to profit (handsomely if possible)? I was thinking about several levels of out-of the money put options on JPM to enhance leverage because JPM seems to have about 7 trillion of CDS. Any thoughts on the "if" part of my question, general positioning or specific ideas would be welcome. Thanks.

Closed End Bond funds

I'm wondering what effect all the instability over the insured bond situation and the insurers (e.g., Amback, MBIA, etc.) might have on closed end bond funds like the Korea Fund for instance. Enlightenment would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Topping in Asian markets?

Awhile ago, Chris Rowe of Tycoon's TTR mentioned that there's evidence that American markets are showing signs of topping. Has anyone noticed if topping patterns are evident in Asian markets, especially China? Thanks.

Accessible charting services for blind investors

I'm totally blind. I'm also a relativenovice when it comes to investing. Many of you are Tycoon Report readers and may as well be subscribers to their premium services (e.g. Trend Rider and Point and Profit). I purchased Chris Rowe's Internal Strength system course, which I've found to be thoroughly fascinating. However, being blind, reliance on technical indicators and charts is difficult if not impossible owing to their graphical nature. In other words, the adapted computer I use to read information cannot read graphical information aloud; it can only read text aloud. So, givein my rather long-winded preface, would anyone happen to know of other blind investors who've addressed this situation or who know of any means of overcoming inaccessible charts or who may know of anyone who could help develop a system for making charting services accessible to the blind? Cheers and Thanks!
