If you decide the Widget just isn’t right for you then simply remove the code.

Can I customize the widget?
Of course!
You can choose from 16 pre-defined color schemes or you can go bonkers and customize every element of the widget yourself so it blends in perfectly with your page.
Who else sees the question I ask?
That’s a great question. There are two groups of people that will see your question:
- Readers of your site - They’ll see your question each time they visit your site and see the widget. So it pays to put the widget in a prominent place - the more people see it, the more they’ll interact with it.
- TickerHound Members - When you ask a question on your widget we also post that question to the main TickerHound.com site.
This way you’ll not only get more answers, but traffic back to your website as well.
How will I know when someone answers my question?
We provide two methods of keeping you in the loop on how you’re question is doing:
- E-mail - anytime a new answer comes in we’ll send you an email immediately.
- On Site Notification - After receiving a reply to your question, the next time you come to TickerHound you’ll see a small question bubble icon next to your “My TickerHound” menu. That icon is letting you know that you have new answers - simply click the icon and it will bring you to a list of new answer notifications.
How do I get to my Widget Dashboard?
When you visit TickerHound, login and then go to your “My TickerHound” menu. You’ll see a “My Widgets” link at the bottom - click that menu item and you’ll be taken directly to your TickerHound Widget Dashboard.
What do the Statistics on my Dashboard mean?
The Statistics on your Dashboard are meant to give you a quick snapshot of the activity on your site over different periods of time.
So we tell you how many answers you’ve received today, this week and this month.
Then we take it a step further and show you how many total answers you’ve received over time and the proportion of anonymous answers versus answers from registered TickerHound members.
We even tell you the average number of answers per question you’ve been receiving.
What if I want to add a new widget to a different site?
We figured there would be someone with multiple blogs and/or websites that wanted an individual widget for each one - so we made it extremely easy to add a new blog or site to your profile.
From your Dashboard click on the “Add a New Website” link and follow the same steps you went through when you setup your first blog.
After that, just make sure you use the appropriate links to update the each blog’s Knowledge Exchange widget.
What if I want to add the same widget to a different site?
If you want to display the same widget on multiple blogs or sites, then all you have to do is go to your Dashboard, click the “Get Widget Code” link and follow the appropriate procedures from there.
How do I integrate the widget into my site or blog?
We provide you with a small snippet of JavaScript code.
You should be able to simply copy & paste that directly into your site.
We also have detailed instructions on the integration pages for how to add the widget to your Blogger.com blog and a widget for your hosted WordPress site.
Will this work on every blog platform?
No, we currently only support Blogger and WordPress.
If you manage your own blog on another platform and you can confirm that the platform supports JavaScript then simply copy & paste the code into the appropriate place and you should be good to go.
If you can’t get the widget to work at all then please e-mail us at: with the type of blog platform you’re on and we’ll contact you directly.
Why isn't the widget working on my page?
If the widget isn’t working it’s most likely due to your site that your page is hosted on.
For instance, the widget won’t work on MySpace.com because it doesn’t support JavaScript.
If you’re sure your site supports JavaScript and you still can’t get it to work then please contact us at and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
Why can't I choose a certain answer as the "Best Answer"?
Only answers that have come from registered TickerHound members can be selected as the “Best Answers”. So if the answer you’re referring to was submitted anonymously, then you won’t be able to select it as the Best.
Do you have any tips for how to get the best results from my widget?
