Why should I vote for a question or answer?

In order to keep the site fun, relevant and informative we rely on YOU and other TickerHound members to tell us what’s “good” and what’s “bad”.  So by voting on questions and answers you help those Q&A’s get onto the “Popular” list – this makes it dramatically easier for other members to stumble across quality material and enhance their investing knowledge.

It also helps you because as the site grows we’ll be able to display the most relevant Questions and Answers to you based on other Q&A’s you liked.

So make sure you vote – and vote often – you improve the TickerHound experience for everybody, especially yourself.

How can I vote on an answer?

Voting on an answer is just like voting on a question.

As you read each answer you’ll see a “Great Answer” button just beneath it.  Click it when you find an answer that you think really answers the question at hand.  This will not only help the answer rise up the “Popular” list, but it will also help the person who contributed that answer to earn more points.

How do you define an “Answered” question?

An “Answered” question is one that has been “Resolved”.

We consider a question “Resolved” when the person who asked it designates an answer as the “Best Answer” he received.  After that, the question is closed to new submissions and it’s moved to the “Answered” list.
