Why should I register for TickerHound?
In order to get answers to your specific financial questions, you’ll have to register for the site.
It’s completely FREE and takes about 15 seconds to get started (literally).
How do I register for the site?
The registration process for TickerHound is extremely simple and should only take you 15 seconds to complete (we literally timed it).
Simply click on any of the Sign-up or Join links you see throughout the site. Add your e-mail address, username and password and then click “Start using TickerHound now!” – and that’s it!
Simple, right?
We even start you off with 100 TickerHound points just for signing up!

Please note: Even though the registration process has 3 steps, you’re only required to complete the first one to begin using TickerHound.
How many steps are there?
There are three (3) simple steps in total. Each of them should take under a minute to complete…if you don’t feel like filling out a particular section, feel free to skip it and come back to it later by clicking on “My Profile” and then hit the “Edit Profile” button.
Step 1 – Account Info:
Select a Username – pick a unique username that will be used identify you within the TickerHound community. You’ll also use this as one of the ways to log back into TickerHound.
Enter your e-mail address – make sure you enter a valid e-mail address because we’ll be using this address to let you know when one of your questions has been answered in real time.
And because we want to make the TickerHound experience as easy as possible for you, we allow you to log into the site using either your Username or your E-mail address…you pick!Password – Choose a password that you’ll remember, but also one that won’t be easily guessed by somebody else.
From here you can simply click on the “Start Using TickerHound Now!” button and you’ll be off to the races!
However, if you’d like to flesh out your profile further – adding information about yourself, your picture, etc. – then by all means continue on to steps 2 and 3 (which are both completely optional).
While these next steps aren’t required, they’ll certainly help your questions and answers get noticed!
We’ll also be awarding points to users who have the most complete profiles – this is the easiest way to boost your rankings on the Top TickerHounds list.
Step 2 – Personal Information:
Want an easy way to get more answers to your questions?
Fill out your Personal Information – name, biography, etc. – and let other TickerHounds get to know you better. It really does make people feel more comfortable answering your questions and even reading your answers.
How about driving free traffic to your web site?
TickerHound even lets you include a direct link to your web site in your profile…talk about an easy way to drive free traffic to your page!
Step 3 – Profile Picture:
Want an inside tip on how you can really make your questions and answers stand out on the page – spice them up with a personalized graphic or picture!
There are two options for adding a picture to your profile.
The first option (and the easiest) is to join a TickerHound “Investing Group”. We tried to make the groups as broad as possible, while still giving each TickerHound group their own unique personality. We have value investors, tech traders, mutual fund hounds, etc. So pick a group that suits you best and you’ll get a profile picture that lets other TickerHounds know what type of investor you are.
You’ll be surprised at the results – we’ve noticed that people tend to frequently answer questions from investors in the same “group”.
The second option gives you the ability to add a little more personality to your profile by uploading your own image – and your Q&A’s will definitely grab more attention!
This could be a picture of you, a graphic you like or even your company’s brand or logo. Just be sure to keep it clean – good rule of thumb: if you wouldn’t be embarrassed to wear the image on a t-shirt in public, then it’s probably fine to upload to the site.
