How do you find an accounting firm that knows all the laws of option trading?
After a year of education in option trading, and much expense, I am prepared for live trading in 2008. My current CPA has little or no knowlege in accounting for option traders and would like to get as much deductions for my 2007 expenses as well as for future profit and loss. Who should do my books and what entity would be best? I've heard much about Traders Accounting, both good and bad, but is that all there is?
Thanks
Robert

You should really ask your broker (or someone at his firm) who they use for an accountant -if you're doing a lot of sophisticated options trades than they'll definitely be the ones who can turn you onto someone qualified.
