Well Buffett never "bled" Berkshire, in fact he continued to invest in the textile maker even while it was losing money. Buffett really did his best to keep the company going while everybody else was leaving the New England region for cheaper manufacturing overseas.

Lampert is certainly not bleeding Sears - almost all of his net worth and that of his hedge fund is tied up in that holding company. It's been cut in half over the last year as the stock has languished. So I guess I'm failing to see the validity in your question. Maybe you could re-post along with some details because as far as I, and anyone else who really studies these two gentlemen, can tell, they're shareholder advocates - not corporate raiders.
