Book on value investing - Ben Graham, Warren Buffett

Has anyone read AND applied any of the techniques and philosophies espoused by Benjamin Graham? - ie. Value Investing?

If so, what has your experience been?
How long have you been investing for?
How have you done?

I'm tempted to order a copy of "Intelligent Investor: A Book of Practical Counsel"

Here's the link to amazon:

Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I think this is a very good book to read on value investment. It teaches you not only value investing but also discipline in the market. I read this book twice and I feel still I should read this book several times more to get above average return in the long run. Now I have applied this method for few stocks. However I picked stocks according to Peter Lynch Method.

Now I realized as a small investor it is better to use both Graham and Peter Lynch method combined. Then we can be in the market all the time and for a longer period.

Of course you should read THE book by Warren Buffet's teacher ... but, it long on theory and difficult to apply ... although, there are starting to be SOME companies that you can (not necessarily 'should') buy for less than book value now.

But, there is an EXCELLENT book for you on quasi-Warren Buffet methods: Rule # 1 Investing by Pete Town.

Get it, read it, understand it, apply it ...
