Options Execution/Assignment Data
I'm working on an options strategy. Where would I be able to find data about execution and assignment patterns for a certain stock's options, both call and put?
Additional Information:
Let me clarify my question. when I asked about probability of assignment, I meant assignment at least 2 weeks before expiration. So, for example, if I sold the RIG JUL $120 call, what would be the probability of me being assigned at least 2 weeks before expiration? I'm looking for data that would help me determine this probability.

There is nothing magical about assignment. If you sell a call and the call ends up ITM and there is little or no time value left in the price then your stock will be called away for the strike price of the option. If you own the stock already you will lose it if you do not own any of the stock then you will be shorted the stock.
On the put side if you sell a put and the put ends up ITM and there is little or no time value left in the option then you will be put the stock (or assigned) That is you will be sold the stock for the strike price of the option. If you do not have the money in your account at the time you will have to either come up with the money or sell the stock on the market.
Thats it in a nut shell. This scenario will happen automatically regardless of the stock, so I do not know how you can find any patterns that would benefit you.
In my experience it is better and easier to buy back the options you sold before the time premium runs out.
Cheers
Ifly
