Best online banking solution?
I've heard online banking is great for savings and controlling spending...any suggestions for who to use for online banking?

I've had good luck with E*Trade Bank, which lets me move money around to other E*Trade stock accounts, or any other financial institution for no charge, with a few mouse clicks! They were paying 5.05% interest, but that is now down to around 3% after all the rate reductions Bernanke has been pulling out of his hat.
Another bank to look at is Wachovia, which is still offering 5% and bonuses, with a few strings attached: http://wachovia.com/misc2/0,,1774,00.html

For checking/transaction account the bank I've been with for several years is Bank of The Internet. They have an especially good checking account for Boomers(over 50 years old).I believe they also offer an account for over 40 years that may be similar. They pay high interest on checking with no minimums.Very few fees.I can't remember ever paying any fee to them. You can even email or phone the president of the bank.Check them out at www.bofi.com
For money market I use AARP which has one of the highest interest rates. If your over 50 years you can open account with them.

I just went to the Bank Of Internet website and it seems they aren't promoting the Boomer checking anymore and couldn't find it on thier website. They hid it but found through Google search. Here is page. You need to be over 40 years old, interest is APY of 3.4% up to max of $25K in account.
