This chap has an interesting blog that he updates a few times daily. Last week he bought PWRD. He increased his CTRP holding. The fund is not China specific but the blog is worth a look.

I would look at the ADR's of Chinese stocks that trade through Bank of New York - Mellon, and Citibank

and also look at

and at the last site scan the top bars for China stocks.
Why do I suggest the ADRs sites? Because the companies that list have complied with many rigorous
disclosure and filing rules...and there are loads of Chinese companies - small, medium and large cap.
Then you can look at the index funds...GXC, FXI and a closed end fund, such as CAF, and see what they hold.
Next, you can do a chart comparison at

which has an alpahbetical listing of securities traded on ARCA and TSX, and run a performance comparison of those you might find interesting...vs an index to see how they fare when the S&P is down, or the Shenzen index spikes..
Keep in mind that when you do a comparison, try to have an index fund as a "comparator" to the other companies' stock charts. FXI is huge caps, State-Owned companies; GXC is a different mix, and CAF is local, mid and small cap.
Also, be aware that there are several classes of shares of Chinese stocks: A, H, B...and some stocks are from Taiwanese companies; others are from HongKong ...and there's even one shipping company with headquarters in Bermuda.

Time to time in a different market situation in different time following stocks will outperform market in the future. However before buying these stocks we should analyse fundamentals thoroughly in addition to decisions taken by the Chinese government time to time.

Henan Shuanghui Investment and Development Co. (SHE) – I think this meat processing company has joint venture with Goldldman Sachs.

I've been playing with solar stocks. SOLF, CSUN and playing the Olympic advertising such as VISN.
I'm taking huge profits on SOLF. Their earnings call is Wednesday morning. It's a freakin coaster ride.
Please notice I said playing and not investing.
