No you can't. You can place an market order but it wii go at the market opening price which could be much different than you would expect it to be. Wait til the market opens and see if the option is available at the price you have in mind.

No, not in the US. That market would be way too thinly traded and most people would be eaten alive if they dared to trade in it. As it is, now you can only enter limit orders during regular market hours-market orders cannot be made on options as far as I know.

One time (never again) I entered an option trade at market price before the market opened. When the market opened the stock gapped big time and when my order filled the trade cost me 16 times more than I had expected. Ericmr is right: that's a good way to get eaten alive!

Do NOT rely on the first answer from Ericmr that you cannot enter market orders on options. Any options broker today will take a market order, but you leave yourself at the mercy of the market makers if you enter such an order.

I trade with Fidelity and you can buy via a market order during regular hours. I think a market order is ok as long as you are tracking the bid, ask, last price - it will sell within those parameters somewhere. Sometimes the market is moving pretty fast and by the time you put in a limit price it has moved on and you have to cancel that order and resubmit. The market order will get the option or stock real quick.
