The bulk of my wealth has come from stocks and options. My best plays were in Canadian junior gold stocks that grew up. Next best are the Canadian Energy Trusts who pay out huge dividends and quite a bit of capital gains since I got in early. In options, I have made money writing calls on my stocks and also outright put and call purchases. My best trading stock for options has been AAPL.

I have made more than 100K in trading commodites and options on commodities; so that puts this catagory in third place. Most of the money was made in gold and silver contracts and options.

I have dabbled in Forex and made some money but backed away because of the time consuming nature of the trading. i.e. stocks and commodities take less attention.

In stocks, the best gains are made in proper forecasting of future trends. My current mania is the change to the next generation of internet equipment where huge data transfers will be made to move video and audio files. My current candidate for revolutionizing the internet is a micro company called Raptor Network Technology Inc (RPTN). Research it and make your own decision. My hope is that in a few years it will not be safe to just buy CISCO internet equipment.
