Danish, Dutch and Swiss RMBS Exposure
I'm looking to identify companies in Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland that have significant exposure to the residential mortgage backed security (RMBS) market. I figure these will be banks and mortgage companies. Pretty obvious are ING in the etherlands and UBS and Credite Suisse in Switzerland, but I'm not sure of their respective exposures to RMBS. I'm not at all familiear with Danish banks. Any assistance with this would be appreciated.

I believe that there are a lot of these holders of RMBS' paper in the listing of companies in the International REIT ETFs, which you can access by going to
http://seekingalpha.com
and type
International REIT ETFs
in the search bar. There's one based on a Dow Jones index, there's another by Cohen & Steers. Then there are a lot of ClosedEnd Funds that hold these, (called CEFs) that have some info at that site, and at the close-end fund association site
http://www.closed-endfunds.com
and at Nuveen's site
http://www.etfconnect.com
In addition, you could look at the detailed holdings of an international real estate mutual fund, such as FIREX (fidelity Intl Real Estate), where holdings are shown by country and type in the annual report online, and in the current prospectus.
Finally, there's NAREIT (the web site iI din't have an exact listin for, but Yahoo or google probably has it) and it may have info on foreign REITs, and their holdings by type of security..
