What does it mean when people say EUR/USD is catching a bid? Or catching an ask?

I've never heard the phrase "catching an ask". But "catching a bid" means that the company's stock price is rising rapidly, or being "bid" up rapidly. Many times it's used in reference to a takeover attempt from another company (e.g. "Yahoo is catching a bid...from Microsoft").
