Would a GM and Ford merger work?

A GM and Ford merger would not work in the least. Both have a lot to learn of timing the market and listening to their end customer. Also a GM/Mopar merger wouldn't work . GM would end up killing an already much weaked Chrysler. Chrysler would be better off in a partnership with Renault/Nissan so they can pool ideas and more without per say any mergers. Ford may look OK right now but wasted much valuable time resources bailing out Mazda and buyouts of Jaguar,Austin Martin and Land Rover which most news sources seem to ignore. If Ford can spend share holders money redoing Jaguars factories why can't/could of it been done here.
