Are solar stocks positive correlated to the oil prices/stocks?

In general, YES...but with amazing volatility...because some have grants or subsidies, while others have great concepts, but are still awaiting regulatory approvals. Others have supposed "silicon" supply problems or "Germanium_Telluride etc, rare earth metal supply problems. There are a couple of solar ETFs, and go look at

I think solar stocks are more closely correlated to Government subsidies. Solar companies do a large part of their sales with those countries that have government subsidies in place. If those programs are long term in nature they provide stability until grid parity can be reached. If they are short term in nature or have to be voted on to be renewed that puts future sales in jeopardy.
