If I wanted to day trade from home is there certain software I should buy?

A full service broker should provide you with trading software that will run on your desktop. This includes real time quotes, charts, watch lists, news, alerts, triggers, block trades and more. You should also have full access to their site for research. The trading software gives you tick by tick bid / ask trade info real time and level 2 bid ask volume. ALL of this is free and you dont have to call your broker for anything!!
If you are looking for day trading software that will tell you when to buy and sell I'm sure plenty of people out there will be more than happy to take your money. I assume that you know exactly what you are doing in the market and have been trading for some time. If you are not well versed in how the market works I suggest you first spend your money on education and save a lot of grief.
