I checked out the salary.com website.
According to it, the Investment Banker gets paid the most out of the 3 , namely M&A, Investment banker and trader.
A interesting issue is that 20% of the total compensation is paid as performance bonus...... No wonder, there is such a hard sell.....
Now on to the actual figures.
1. Chief Mergers & Acquisitions executive gets $213,822 as a base salary which is 57.3% of the total paycheck. Bonus is $77,058(20.6%) . Thus the total compensation is $373,362.
2. Chief Investment executive gets $251,120 as a base salary which is 58.6% of the total paycheck. Bonus is $87,492(20.4%) . Thus the total compensation is $428,792.
3. Floor broker gets $130,280 as a base salary which is 51.4% of the total paycheck. Bonus is $61,006(24%) . Thus the total compensation is $253,681
4. A private banking manager gets $132,833 as a base salary which is 58% of the total paycheck. Bonus is $39,056(17%) . Thus the total compensation is $229,137.
5. Bond Sales Manager gets $110.085 as a base salary which is 67.5% of the total paycheck. Bonus is $9,585(5.9%) . Thus the total compensation is $163,067.

Wayne should be answering this one. I would suspect that Hedge Fund Managers earn the most.
