Lower commodity prices including oil
Falling commodity prices
Appreciation of US Dollar against other currencies
Above three factors are happening now.

It might go up temporarily, but I think beyond the week we can expect further weakening of stock prices given the fundamental factors in the economy. . .raging inflation, out of control federal spending, no energy alternatives to the current price spikes, high commodity prices, weak employment with more job losses to come, massive capital problems at financial institutions and a shaky housing market.

Bank of America reports earnings after the bell on Monday 7-21-08 ,, its worth keeping an eye. Citibank reported a $25 billion loss and lower oil prices and the market loved it, but you never know what the Wall Street Journal is going to put on the front cover
