Why did you buy it in the first place? Have the reasons you bought it changed or is the company just in a volatile market correction? What is your trading strategy. When you buy investments you need a strategy (do you use trailing stops and this one has lost to that level?). You can't just buy on emotion and expect all of your transactions to make money. How long have you held onto this position?
Most people should not be day traders unless you have money to burn. All portfolios will experience losses at some point. Many of my positions lose money one day and gain the next. If you look at the price over the course of how long you've held the position, is it on a downhill trend or does this just appear to be a bit of a glitch?
Patience, if the stock is worth it. Remember, at the end of every bear market comes a bull market.

I looked at the chart for MKL.(the stock that was referenced to your question) It's been in a down trend since the first of Nov. Buying a stock that is in a down trend has more risk than buying a stock that is in an uptrend.
I personally would sell it and look for a stock that is in an uptrend that fairly recently was in a long term down trend and has apparently changed trend direction. Buy on a pullback and use a protective stop loss.

how long have you been buying and selling stocks? if its more than a year, then you should be aware of the financial sectors ill health at this point. why are so many people so itchy to get back into Financial s at this point? please people, stay away from Financial s until such time as you see a good(no a great reason) to buy back in. you can all see, this sector is still failing right now. backs are still failing and we have heard many more are expected to fail this year alone. so lets leave these guys alone to sit in their corners and figure out their own answers . when they get it back together, look for the strongest of the bunch and then buy.
