Do any stocks or bonds trade on national holiday's like the 4th of July?
How about overseas stocks or the FOREX?

Yes. But, when the US goes on holiday the volume on worldwide trading goes way down. And you need volume in order to move prices. And most markets generally don't move very much during those times. So, when the US goes on trading holiday so do I.
