Would Tickerhound Participants Be Interested In Meeting In a R/T (Un) Conference?
Would any tickerhound participants be interested in meeting for a conference, or more likely an "unconference", with non formatted focus groups to be completely organized by members?
Preliminary sites to be held have been discussed as NYC, San Francisco, and Del Ray Beach, FL. This is in very early stage of development, but just looking at this point to see how many members would be interested in something like this.

I would love to, but can't travel by plane. DelRay is next door, but PLEASE, have some way of recording; summarizing, .pdf transcripts, or other system for a author-certified precis of what transpires...otherwise it's too much and varied to absorb. A tape or video can be circulated to attendees, or the participants whose ideas and expressions are otherwise ephemeral. Then it could be published, @ tycoon, or here.
I often log-in, just to see some of the replies, even for things I don't do (like options). However, one of the shortcomings of this site is the repetitive nature of certain investing questions and the lack of an index; and the vast number of "active" questions, compared with the relatively few "resolved".
The Tools link with the quotations often hang my instance of IE 7, with a "hungapp" error code. It's probably my system, not the cascading link system.

Love too but can't really take time away from my business and honestly I don't know what value I would gain from it unless it had speakers and topics I was intersted in. It sure would be fun to brainstorm with some of the community though.
