NBC buying Weather Channel for $3.5 billion - big mistake?
Looks like everyone on the street is in deal mode. This looks like some serious overpaying to me -- any thoughts?

Yeah, they're probably overpaying, but remember that $3.5 billion is a drop in the bucket for a company the size of GE. It's only about 1.5% of GE's market cap to be exact.
So even if they're overpaying for the sake of getting the deal, it's not something that could REALLY hurt the company.
Actually, I think it's NBC plus a few partners to help finance the deal. No matter what, they'll be just fine.
