According to scientists, environment friendly groups and top Policy makers etc through out the world food based bio-fuels are not viable in the long run.

Fuels from algae, jattopha trees are considered the most viable alternative to fossil fuels. Some Airlines prefer to use oil from Jattopha in the future due to lower cost.

Bio diesel manufactured from inedible plant seeds such as jatropha, castor are considered second generation. The second generation fuel material has the potential to reduce global warming scientists say.

These alternative energy methods will avoid deforestation as well.
