Bad Fill/No Fill on the NYSE

I recently put a sell order through my broker to sell a stock at $85. The stock is listed on the NYSE. The high of the day was $85.06, but I didn't get filled at $85. My broker said that the $85.06 traded on a different exchange (I'm skeptical). Did I get scammed? And if so, is there any recourse for me?

I would go to the legal department of your broker's company and I would do it immediately. I would provide proof of the sell order. Please remember that sometimes stocks trade right through limit orders. But it doesn't hurt to go to the legal department and then after that there is always the SEC or CFTC (Securities Exchange Commission or Commodity Futures Trading Commission).
