Is there a way to get news alerts on specific stocks sent to my mobile phone?
This way I can call my broker if anything goes crazy when I'm away from my computer screen.

I do this via a feature in one of my online trading accounts. There are probably websites that also do so, perhaps for a price. Maybe try an online search to find those.

Yes. Log into your online brokerage account and go into the section of the website that deals with "ALERTS". Any reputable brokerage firm will have this feature. If not, you may want to consider changing brokers. If that's not an option, I would try one of the free financial sites such as Bigcharts or Yahoo. I haven't checked but, they may have this feature.
