What do you think this latest $700 Billion bail out will do to the markets?

Do you think it will really save/hurt us? Can the next President really make a difference since this one has put us so far in the hole?

The simple fact is the U.S. government has been technically BANKRUPT for many years, it has just not been formally acknowledged yet! TEMPORARILY the bailout may rally the markets but ADD to volatility as the bulls, (believers in the ability of bureucrats/Federal Reserve honchos to MANAGE a fiat currency) assure the gullible masses that everything is under control, but ultimately the bears (believers in gold and silver as real money, will be the MAJOR WINNERS as HARD ASSETS win the day!

Unless society as we know it breaks down TOTALLY it should be simple to figure out that as the hordes in Asia increasingly become "middle class"and want (and can afford) the things North Americans and Europeans have taken for granted for decades, the DEMAND for commodities of all kinds, food, steel, cement, coal, industrial metals, energy in all its forms, will outstrip available resources. America is rapidly losing its pre-eminent world position and it will matter little WHICH candidate is elected president!

Nobody has a reliable crystal ball, at best anyone can only GUESS, but i would narrow it down too 2 basic choices. As the euphoria of the bailout fades the market may well take another swan dive. On the other hand, as MORE people begin to apply sound thinking and economics 101 reality, gold and silver and other commodities like oil and natural gas could well spiral upward, particularly IF the U.S. dollar resumes its decline. In what time frame these factors will play out simply has too many variables and possible scenarios to anything more than educated GUESSES!
