I think that in the short term threre will be little to no improvement in clicks. The advantages of the browser are: A poke in Microsoft's eye, increasing bond with high level users(low level users will never change browsers), and a way to standardize the connection between Google and the users which will make it easier to provide new services in the future(including applications that will cut into Microsoft's bottom line) which is where the true advantages of this move lie.

I suspect it won't make a big difference. Consider that...
1) Almost everyone uses google when looking for information already
2) Firefox is generally better then internet explorer, and yet most people still use internet explorer. This shows that even a better browser won't neccasarrily move people towards switching away from internet explorer
and 3) They use a pay per click revenue system, so they only get money when people click on the ads. People are much more likely to click on ads while searching for new information then when their simply idle, on say facebook, or on email.
Given those 3 things, i don't think this web browser will make a big difference in revenues. That being said, until you see the browser, and get a feel for how it is relative to whats currently out there, you really can't be sure.

Google Chrome is probably more about being the front runner in online technology. Google makes really great products and most of them are free to individuals. Just like Microsoft won the Operating System wars, Google is positioned to be at the top in internet services and their applications. One day when we go to use an online application, it will be a Google application. Other products we use will have gotten their start in Google. Google is out to improve our online world by giving us an experiences that are productive, educational, and fun.
