What is your time frame for needing the money? Is this portfolio for long term? I have no problem with readjusting your portfolio to be diversified, but selling because you are in a panic over the markets is a surefire way to go broke. Your "loses" are strictly on paper at this time. You need to remember that after every bear market comes a bull market.

Yes, it is time to swap bad sectors for good sectors. Next Bull Run will begin with completely different sector

Now some intelligent investors are investing in good sectors including good financial stocks while disposing all types of commodity stocks, financials stocks exposure to commodity, subprime and sophisticated instruments etc.

I think there is a possibility some top investment banks, insurance giants, property companies will collapse sooner than later. As a result of this some sectors, some companies, banks will benefit most in the next 12 months and beyond.

Now some sectors, companies and countries have become very attractive and these sectors will outperform the market. In addition, their cost will come down drastically in the next 18 months and earnings will go up rapidly
