If you are a long term investor why not. However, personally I would wait until there is a confirmed trend change and then buy on the dip.

There are some things you need to know about SKF referenced above by kobla. SKF is an ETF that shorts the underlying DOW financial sector. And the objective is to double whatever the underlying sector is doing. If the financial sector goes down 1% SKF should go up about 2%. I would be careful about using SKF as a gauge of how the financial sector is doing when trading individual stocks. And there are always stocks within a sector that does just the opposite of what that sector is doing.
