How como GE gets such great credit ratings with....

negative 62 B plus Free Cash Flow and 4.7 D/E Ratio? I want to make an informed decision before I buy their highy touted capital preferreds, which yield over 6.5%.

I don't think I'd touch a preferred stock right now. GE is going to be very susceptible to moves in both the financial and consumer markets. Debt must get serviced before preferred payments so I'm not sure if the risk outweighs the reward here.
