B of A said they are buying MER for $29 last night. If buying MER before trading opens - will orders hit?

My roomate bought 125 shares of MER last night as they were around $17 on Friday with a guaranteed jump to $29 when trading opens. Will these be filled? I was skeptical, but unsure.
