Is Citigroup vulnerable to what's going on in the banking sector?

Yes, C is vulnerable as it is still holding bad paper and has only been trickling/gushing out the losses each quarter. It may be one of the too large to let fail banks, but the shareholders are going to take a hit. I have been short using Puts for a long time now.

As they are currently showing negative earnings, I would say definitely. Negative earnings in a tax preparer in July is one thing, but I would never expect that from a bank/financial services company.
