What's your take on who's better - eTrade or AmeriTrade? In terms of overall satisfaction/customer service.
Considering a Roth IRA.

I have had a long term relationship with TD Ameritrade and its prior incarnation as TD Waterhouse. After the merger with Ameritrade, the service and policies of TD Waterhouse seemed to be adopted by TD Ameritrade so I am still a happy camper. After another merger I ended up with an account with Etrade but I didn't stay with them very long.
Another broker that I am very happy with is Think or Swim for its great platform and trading tools; but their clearing house Penson is a bit slow in producing the paperwork and posting dividends.

I'm on the fence about which broker to use also, whether E*Trade, TD Ameritrade, thinkorswim, or TradeKing.
JTrain - What do you like/dislike about TradeKing?
Thanks!

No complaints on my end with Ameritrade for the Roth. Been with Ameritrade since it bought Datek years ago.
If your looking to trade stocks with any seriousness you might want to consider a 'direct access' platform.
