Eventhough I do not live in Asia I like to write following answer for your question. I hope it will help you.

Yes some Asian countries are feeling the pain. Markets in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan have become more vulnerable now.

I think following sectors will hit hard in Asia.

Commodity and resource sector
Property sector
Health sector
Technology and telecom sector
Entertainment sector

Property prices will come down at least by 25% in countries like Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. There will be similar trend in even in other Asian property markets. Some property markets will have bigger fall.

Some sectors in Asia very attractive now. In India and Malaysia some banks are very strong. Vietnam can become next tiger. Some smaller markets which are not exposure to subprime bubble will outperfom other markets.

China and India have advantage over other economies due to large population. And there are always demand for certain products and services. These sectors will outperform markets in the next 12 months and in the next decade.
