Yahoo is a good company that makes money. They don't need to sell themselves to survive. Microsoft wanted them as a quick way to get bigger in order to challenge Google. They are playing second to them and currently do not see a path to overtake them. They do have good products and some features that Google doesn't have. As the economy recovers, their price will also recover.
