Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it only because Icahan has made alot of bad bets this year and his examples of buying power do not prove anything.

Stick with stocks with their own power to move up, not because some Guru has made a big move

I agree with Einstein.

His following statement is vey important.

Stick with stocks with their own power to move up, not because some Guru has made a big move

There are two types of gurus. One group actually can take correct decisions at correct times and can see things in advance base on their knowledge and experience. These groups came to know collapse of property, commodity, financial sector and currency trend in advance. In addition they did not invest in emerging market when it was in bubble stage. Now they are gradually entering these markets.

Other groups actually they made lot of mistakes by making wrong bets. They were talking about super cycle in commodity market, US dollar to collapse, non-stop bull market in some emerging markets etc. They advised to buy their favourite baskets of currencies, commodities and stocks in selected countries etc. Now finally bubble has burst. Actually now some other currencies commodity and property prices are collapsing.

I think it is better to stay with few cash rich technology companies with demand for their product and services for the next 05 years and in next rotating sectors. Technology sector will be next most vulnerable sector even though there will be some price appreciation in this sector in the next 04 months. During this period it is better to sell technology sector before it becomes too late.

This is the time to identify correct sector and prepare for sector base bull markets. It is also time to ignore opinion and recommendations of some rating agencies, some gurus and some brokers etc.
