Think the Dow is gonna break into "7000 territory" today?

I think it will definitely go down to almost 8000 over the next 2 weeks. The real test as i see it is weather or not it goes below 8000. If it doesn't hold, then it won't be long ( i'd say a month tops) before we see 7200-7300, and wonder if 7000 will hold. Theres also a possibility it will bounce off the 8000 mark and go back upwards again. Right now, its all about that 8000 mark.

I don't think today. Maybe this month. At this time, the NYSE tick only has a slight negative bias and selling is being met with some decent buying from what I see on my screen. We have retail sales number coming out on Friday and a preliminary sentiment number which together could cause a move.

I do not think so. There is a possibility it can go around 11,000 during next 06 months and then it can go below 7000.
I think in every rally we should sell vulnerable sectros such as Technology sector, commodity, property, auto and tyre sector etc. Then we should invest in next rotating sectors.

I graphed the DJI for the last fifty years, then constructed a 50-year trend channel.
According to this channel (logarithmic vertical scale), there are two possibilities:
1. The DJI will drift sideways between7000 and 11000 until July 2014; or
2. The DJI will hit 6000 around May 2012 and then rebound strongly.
