Long term, I like them. Short term, they could see some revenue issues due to the layoffs at companies that license their products. They have a good profit margin and will be helped by the dollar headed down again, which it has recently. Some of the other companies they bought are helping them cover the spectrum of offerings.

Their sales could fall again in the current quarter. Some investor houses have downgrated this stcok recently.
Like many other tech bellwethers, Oracle is vulnerable to currency swings
Its customers are curtailing spending now. Many customres think differently now. They want to reduce cost on the high cost technoldoy in the future.
I think it is better to do thorough research before putting money in woftware sector now.
