When examining insider buys and sells, is the dollar figure the most important?

Or would factors such as percentage of the insiders total wealth, increase (decrease) in total percentage ownership, or some other metric be more useful?

How about a political answer, all of the above. I don't think you can give absolute rankings, but dollar amounts that are significant to the individual (and not from exercising options, although they do have some weight) are what I look for. However, some of those are pre-announced, like where they are planning a large sale to buy some toy for themselves. Multiple insiders is a real strong signal. Token buys basically are useful to show the opposite is not likely, but not the positive for whatever direction the insider did.
