I think this new development will affect badly for the DELL in the short term. During next 18 months we can get idea about most useful and technology companies that going to survive in the future.

I think only tech companies with less debt, affordable products with steady market for their products will have better chance of competing others. Even emerging tech markets are more vulnerable now. I do not think they will have market in the future.

Many computer makers including DELL faces slower demand for their products now.

Some companies will drastically reduce expensive technology products including software packagers in the future. Now they have realized they have overinvested in the technology and some are downsizing their staff as well as their technology products.

Some tech companies could become bankrupt. It is time to avoid some tech companies now. I do not think they will have market in the future.

However there are some tech companies have badly beaten down in the current market turmoil and they will have aturnaround once economy improves globally. If we can invest in these tech companies we will have above average returns in the future.
