It very well can and probably will. The degree to which it will depends on the type of ownership structure your business has (if it is a sole-proprietorship it will have a very substantial effect on it, less so if it is an LLC partnership, and even less so if your business is incorporated). But yes it can and probably will to some degree (best to talk to a knowledgeable accountant about it to get the specifics). Also if it is a large company (LLC or corporation with many employees) then your official position within your company can play a role in how much your company will be impacted by a personal bankruptcy, as if you are the CFO and you were to file, then your companies credit would definitely be called into question.
