Will Steve Jobs coming clean about his health finally allow for some upside in Apple's stock?

WE cannot keep relying on one person... to make a company go. They have many people behind them, making decisions and actaully making the company work. Apple will do well....

Steve Jobs has probably made many decisions already for 2009; so Apple is probably set in direction for most of the year.
The real problem is the poor economy which will drag down even the best technology companies. Consumers are reducing spending which will hurt Apple sales and corporations are seriously cutting back on information technology purchases. So I don't think there is much upside in Apple until there are signs that both consumers and corporations are resuming spending.

NO Apple`s stock is being affected by slowdown in sales due to weak consumer and business
demand plus more competition from competitors. Rimm fell dramatically so could Apple.

Technology would not be immune from the credit-starved and slowing economy.
Technology and telecom sector could become one of the next most vulnerable sectors during next 10 years. This sector has matured and overinvested. Many companies will become bankrupt gradually due to intense competition. Average investor should think about margin of safety when they decide to invest in technology sector. Further if we do not know technology sector very well we should avoid completely.
Factors to watch:
Global companies are not only reducing investment in information technology but also reducing staff.
There will be less demand for technology and telecommunication products in the next 03 years
Some global companies in the technology and telecom will become bankrupt due to competition, lower demand and credit crunch
Investors seriously should think about investing in next rotating sectors, sectors that going to benefit from current mess. There are profitable opportunists in the neglected sector now. Some asset prices and commodity prices will come down sharply in the next 18 months. Current mess has made short supply in some products and their prices will increase sharply in the next 18 months.
There will be many strong rallies, overall I think the markets will struggle and move sideways for the next couple of years at least. I really don’t see much upside potential for this stock, or most other tech stocks, for some time.
