this is quite open ended. really depends on what you're looking for.
you have quite a range of ETFs you can choose that are still differentiated.
the better known ones are:
iShares Russell 3000 Index Fund (IWV)
iShares Dow Jones U.S. Total Market Index Fund (IYY)
iShares S&P 1500 Index Fund (ISI)
SPDR DJ Wilshire Total Market ETF (TMW)
Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI)
if you want exchange related ETFs:
Shares NYSE Composite Index Fund (NYC)
PowerShares QQQ (QQQQ)

SPY is an ETF for the S&P 500. It has lots of volume so you can get out easily if you want.
