Do you think Bernanke is telling the truth and we realy will come out of the recession this year?

I believe that Bernanke is telling the truth, and believes what he is saying. He had nothing to lose by saying it would take longer for the recession to end. However, that doesn't mean that he is right. He is basing his judgement on historical patterns, seeing how long previous recessions lasted and what was done to bring the economy back onto normal ground. But I believe that this recession is very unlike previous ones that we have had, and I believe it will take longer than what Bernanke is saying.

I think the market will show improvement this year, but the economy will wait until next year to show meaningful improvement. Some sectors may get started this year, but I am afraid that it will be a slow climb back.
