Are there ETFs that track certain types of bonds?

Of course. If they think there is a market, they will put together an ETF. As you didn't say what kind of bonds you wanted an ETF for, I would recommend going to a site like http://finance.yahoo.com/etf and selecting the type of bond you are interested in. I like the symbol for the Lehman high yield bond ETF-JNK.

There are tons of ETFs which hold bonds..Go to
http://www.seekingalpha.com/etf
and look at the Editors' listings of the Bond ETfs
Two that I hold are BWX and PCY: one is emerging mkts sovereign debt; the other is developed countries debt. They pay monthly dividends.
